The Lakambini debuts #𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐁𝐢𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬, a weekly segment for women to share their stories as a means of creating a safe online space for expressing themselves and for acknowledging the different personalities of Filipino women. The very first feature is our own, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐳. She is currently a senior high school student in University of Santo Tomas from the Health Allied Strand.⁣⁣⁣⁣

“A woman can feel empowered when she is in control of her own life, her own destiny and her own choices. When the world doesn’t condemn her for it and when her sex doesn’t stop her from doing what she can and wants to do. Most of all, a woman can feel empowered just by being respected as an individual and as an equal.”⁣⁣⁣⁣
