She is currently an Arts and Design student from De La Salle University majoring in Theater Arts. Fun fact: She directed โ€œBronze, Silver, Gold, at Anting-antingโ€, the MMFF 2019 Student Short Film Category Special Jury Award winner, alongside one of The Lakambiniโ€™s very own members! โฃ

โ€œHow can a woman feel empowered?โ€ โฃ

โฃ

โ€œItโ€™s important to remember that we donโ€™t need to fall into a singular, male-written, female character trope. Women can feel empowered by dressing like a slut or dressing like a librarian and both are still very much capable of reading a book and having hot sex. Women can feel empowered after getting married or after going through the worst breakup and both are just as ferocious and independent. A woman can be a figure of sensuality, safety, love, and destruction, which is a character not a single garbage male writer could ever fantasize about. Empowerment comes from knowing we donโ€™t just survive in a world dominated by the patriarch, we thrive in it.โ€
